Free Summer Classes at UMBS

Nothing to do this summer? The UMBS (University of Michigan Biological Station) has free 2 week summer courses (free room and board and no tuition for some courses)! I highly recommend it! Pelston, MI is really beautiful. Also, it’s really fun and you make a lot of friends! “Thanks to a grant from the U-M Third Century Initiative, the Biological Station (UMBS) is hosting new experimental courses and 2-4 week extensions of Ann Arbor campus classes. 

Extensions typically follow a winter semester class or preceed a fall semester class. The UMBS extension gives you extra time to do research, field trips, and group or individual project work related to the class.

Note: Transforming Learning classes are open to University of Michigan Ann Arbor students only. Students from any college or university may apply for our regular spring and summer field courses.”
